Fall has come, that means we have survived the hot summer, family vacations, the kiddos never ending appetite and always being bored. With the change in the season now comes relaxing in our favorite fall sweater or flannel shirt with leggings and great fall boots, some cooler temperatures, the beautiful color of the leaves changing and who can forget pumpkin spice in everything that our taste buds can handle. Those are not the only things that make Fall so special, who can forget the numerous fall festivities and approaching Holidays.
Whether you are snuggling on the couch in front of a fire or getting lost in a corn maze, there is limitless things to do in the Fall. To help you enjoy the Fall in all of its splendor, I have incorporated some ideas for you to try.
1. Take on the great outdoors
Take advantage of the cooler weather with a weekend camping trip. There is something about being in the great outdoors away from the hustle and bustle of the modern world that is so peaceful and gives you and your family a time to reconnect.
2. Pumpkin carving
Who can forget the fun we all had as a child while carving pumpkins, seeing who could make the scariest or craziest Jack -O-Lantern? Sure, it's a little messy, but the best things in life tend to get a little messy sometimes.
3. Yummy smores
What says fall better than pumpkin spice, the original fall treat of Smores! Just thinking about the chocolate melting between a marshmallow fresh out of the camp fire and a graham cracker is making my mouth water. We can't deprive ourselves and future generations of this Fall tradition.
4. Corn maze
A corn maze is a great way to show your adventurous, fun side. You can go with a group and see who can make it out with the fastest time. Not to mention most corn mazes have a petting zoo or hayride you can also enjoy.
5. Outdoor movie night
With most cities now offering an outdoor movie night you can grab your popcorn and favorite outdoor blanket and head to the park to watch a movie with your family or group of friends. But you could always improvise and make your own movie night in the back yard or in the living room if it is to chilly out.
6. County Fair
Nothing says Fall better than going to a County Fair. Getting that candied apple, riding the rides to you are physically sick, then checking out all the blue-ribbon winners. What could be a better way to kick off the Fall? Nothing really. So, you see just because the Summer has come to an end does not mean that the fun has to, so get outside and enjoy the Fall.
